We signed out contract with Golden Land in April 2004. the building work proceeded speedily and was finished in July 2005, according to plan. We were able to discuss progress at all times with the delightful staff at Golden land and were most impressed with the quality of workmanship and the helpfulness of all involved. Ian Mobsby wrote: “My wife Sheila and I had our first visit to Cyprus in the summer of 1993 and we immediately fell in love with the island. We stayed in Protaras and since then we have had a further 2 holidays in Cyprus, once more in Protaras, and then once in Paphos. When on holiday various people often say how nice it would be to have a property of our own here, unfortunately due to finances it is not always possible. However my wife and I often said if we were ever able to afford it, Cyprus would be where we would buy our holiday home.
In the autumn of ‘2003’ our financial circumstances changed and we were able to start looking into buying our own holiday home. We started to look at various overseas property shows in London and the Home Counties. In March of ‘2004’ we had information on various properties in Cyprus sent to us. The advantage of this being, that we had details of properties from various property developers in Cyprus.
We subsequently flew out to Paphos on an inspection flight in early June of that year for 4, days to visit various developments of the property developers in the Paphos area.
After looking at various areas in the Paphos region we decided the area that really appealed to us was Polis. We looked at various developments in and around Polis, and the one that really took our eye was Lemon Grove, a development by Golden Land which was situated in an old citrus grove, close to all amenities and only a 10, minute walk from the main square in Polis with its various bars and tavernas.
From our first meeting at the square in Polis with Petros from Golden Land we found him a very professional developer who treated us as individuals, and shortly afterwards we agreed to purchase our dream holiday home.
The area was still a building site when we signed the contract, but since the complex was completed we have spent many enjoyable days in our apartment.
We have found Golden Land first class developers who have built a superb complex. From the beginning they have been most helpful, the properties have been soundly constructed with a very high standard of finishing, and the development has a very attractive pool, which is ideal for passing away the glorious sunny days.
There have been teething problems, as you will find with any new development, but any problem we have had has always been put right in a willing and helpful way. It is a great help that they have someone permanently on site, Nikos who looks after the grounds and pool, will also look after maintenance on the site, and it is most useful to be able to approach him in the first instance about any problems that may occur in the apartment.
If he cannot handle the problem he will report back on our behalf to the Golden Land head office in Latchi, where Ivelina has been of great help to us in sorting out any of these problems that have occurred. She will keep us fully informed of what is being done, and when things have been put right, including e-mailing or phoning us when we have returned to the UK.”
